Battlestar has some of the best quotes which sum up the characters and their situations beautifully.
As always with Battlestar, Dee’s tragic end was heartbreaking and utterly devastating. One of the things that struck me particularly about it her death was the fact that Dee so strong and yet so optimistic about the now. For so long she was able to stay on the merry-go-round, and then something just snapped and it was gone. Her death was the first post in this blog because her death, above all the others, stuck with me long after I had finished the show.
There was something so completely horrible and yet poetic about it, a delicately controlled madness which frightened me. Dee was the epitome of sensibility, of normalcy, and yet there was that dark glint in her eye as she checked to see that no one was watching before pulling the trigger. Her evolution over the course of the series was wonderful and I made this post with the idea that it embraces all of her sides, especially the side which Billy brought out in her, and which grounded her in so many ways.
